Hello SWIF Partners!
The Southwest Initiative Foundation is in the midst of a technology transition as we upgrade our database system. While the little elves are busy night and day packing up 30 years of gift, grant and contact information and moving it all over to a new server, SWIF staff are undergoing training and adjusting to a new work environment. While we strive to make this transition as seamless as possible, we know there will be hiccups and delays along the way. Ultimately, this change will make our partnership with you more efficient, timely and allow for increased access to information on your part.
Currently your fund information is accessed through our fund portal website. This will change as we transition to using Saleforce as our primary database. This upgrade will allow for much greater flexibility in how we handle and access information both internally and externally. We expect that a full roll-out to all fund partners will take place before March 30th, 2017. After this date the fund portal site will no longer be available.
In January and February, we will be looking for volunteers from affiliate foundation advisory boards to assist us in beta testing the new software and making recommendations for improvement. If you are interested in participating in this process, please let me know. There will be more details on what this process entails as we become better acquainted with the software internally.
This is a big change for SWIF and will affect all aspects of our work. There are still many moving parts and we know that there will be kinks to work out. We ask for your patience during this time of transition as we make improvements that will enhance our work together and allow you to better serve your communities.
