I know we ask a lot of our community foundation affiliate partners. This fall seems to be especially busy, with many events, activities and changes happening in a very short time frame. With all this buzz of activity in mind, we have created an incentive opportunity for your foundation to earn up to $5,000.
The Engaged Partners Grant has only one requirement: Show up. To be eligible for this grant opportunity, community foundation advisory boards must have at least one board member attend each of the following events:
- “The Million Dollar Question” fundraising seminar with Marcy Heim, Oct. 3
- A Community Fund Portal training (choose from one of four dates/locations)
- SWIF Grow Our Own Summit, Nov. 8
For each advisory board member attending an event, your foundation can earn $250 up to $1,500. That’s an opportunity to earn $1,500 three times! An additional $500 will be available to those foundations who have attendees at all three events and demonstrate proficiency in using the Community Fund Portal in FY19.
$1,500 + $1,500 + $1,500 + $500 = $5,000 for your endowment or unrestricted project fund!
I know you’re probably thinking, “Could this possibly be true? Am I dreaming?” Yes, it is true and no you’re not dreaming. We think each of the upcoming events are fantastic learning opportunities that will have ongoing returns for your foundation and your community.
