Our 2015 event attendees
On Wednesday, Nov. 4th, SWIF fund partners from across the southwest Minnesota region gathered at our 2015 education and networking event at Prairie’s Edge Casino Resort near Granite Falls. Approximately seventy-five passionate community leaders came together, and the room was buzzing with energy.
This is the one time each year that SWIF provides a free education and networking opportunity for our fund partners. And we covered it all – from an orientation for new volunteers and an investment update – to learning how to plan and execute a $100,000 fundraising campaign! We even had a session on using story to articulate impact, engage stakeholders and mobilize community support.
Attendees received a free book from our keynote speaker Sandy Rees of Get Fully Funded, as well as a SWIF ice scraper (as we prepare for the long winter ahead…sigh…).
